This 20-year-old-ad campaign all started with this simple billboard idea. The first TV spot, the first few billboards and in-store promotions all centered around cows supporting a restaurant that didn't serve beef. At all. Ever.  

Chick-fil-A now outsells KFC, and the cow calendars out-sell the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar every year.
